Once touted as the next big thing in social media, Google+ was launched by the tech giant in 2011, aiming to rival Facebook. With features like Circles and Hangouts, it offered a unique twist on online networking. However, despite an initial wave of curiosity, Google+ struggled to engage users on the same level as its competitors.
